Plastic Injection Molded Nylon Arrow Quiver Spine for the Sporting Goods Industry
A manufacturer of archery equipment recently contracted us to injection mold this arrow quiver spine. At Gordy Plastics, our manufacturing processes are geared for the manufacturing of a diverse range of products. This product was designed to be used as an arrow quiver. When installed, it allows the arrows to snap into place.
The injection molding was performed using a single cavity mold and 220 tons of force. The 4.80 oz. shot of nylon also had a brass component insert molded. This glass-filled resin part demonstrates the wide range of materials that can be injection molded, as well as the precision tolerances attainable, in this case ±0.010″. The finished part featured matte black finish and dimensions of 15.25″ in length, 1.976″ in width, and 0.497″ in height. 1,000 of these items are manufactured annually for this customer, all of which are subject to stringent quality measures such as comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections.
